The physicist Werner Leiser from East Berlin wants to leave the GDR. Cold-bloodedly he lets himself be recruited by the Stasi. His hope: To be used as an agent in the west as soon as possible. But this does not happen. Leiser gets in contact with the Federal Intelligence Service of West Germany. He hopes to be able to live his dream of the wide world as a double agent. Then his contact person gets arrested. Leiser has to leave the GDR in a hurry...
Werner Stiller was by the name of Fischer one of the most prominent double agents in the final stage of the Cold War. He was working for the State Security Ministry of the former GDR and for the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) of West Germany at the same time. From 1968 to 1989 he was living his own „thriller“ between Pullach and East Berlin showing remarkable bravery, an addiction to love of risks coupled with political opportunism.
In addition to extensive research the exciting spy thriller is based on this authentic story and on the testimony of the person affected.
